WATSON will be designing the San Francisco 49ers Fan Loyalty Portal that will integrate with all the brand’s marketing touch points. The program is set to launch this April. WATSON recently designed the Fan Loyalty Portal programs for the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Portland Timbers, the Seattle Sounders and the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer. On deck are the Miami Dolphins and Boston Bruins.
WATSON will be working with the 49ers organization, considered one of the most innovative and technologically advanced franchises in all sports. The program is looking to transform how consumers experience live events focusing on building high-capacity Wi-Fi networks to support and integrate with the growing number of mobile devices that fans use in stadiums and arenas.
The 49ers’ Wi-Fi network will be capable of serving all 68,500 fans at the 49ers new Levi Stadium at the same time. WATSON will be working with noted sports technology powerhouse SKIDATA, headed up by long time friend, David Sjolin, the Director of Development. SkiData is a company that provides ski resorts, major airports, municipalities, sports stadiums, trade shows and amusement parks with secure and reliable access solutions for people and vehicles. “If 68 thousand people in a stadium all hit their redeem button at once this system will be able to manage that,” said Matt Watson.
The 49ers are a huge win for WATSON CREATIVE with the franchise based in Silicon Valley – tech center of world. WATSON was awarded the account because of its relationship with SKIDATA as well as its work for the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. “This is one of the most engaging products we’ve ever had,” added Watson.
